Christie E. White
Associate
Christie earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Kentucky in 2014, where she cultivated a strong foundation in critical thinking and communication. Following her undergraduate studies, Christie continued her academic journey at Valparaiso University School of Law in Indiana. While at Valparaiso, Christie devoted over 350 hours to pro bono work, assisting local communities in accessing justice. Her involvement as Secretary of the Women Law Student Association allowed her to champion charitable causes and organize impactful events—something she continues to feel deeply passionate about as a legal professional.
Christie’s time in law school involved significant learning opportunities and experiences outside of the classroom, including internships with an Administrative Law Judge in Indianapolis, a private general practice law firm in Valparaiso, and various roles within the Department of Child Services in Gary, Indiana. Christie’s role with the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic during her last year of law school provided her with hands-on experience representing clients in court under the guidance of seasoned attorneys.
Upon graduation, Christie moved to Franklin, Tennessee to begin her professional journey in a general practice law firm, where she spent nearly 6 years gaining diverse and enriching experiences through her representation of clients across middle Tennessee in various areas of law both in and outside the courtroom. While there, she gained invaluable experiences in probate, estate planning, general business counsel and business transactions, real estate transactions, and civil litigation. Despite practicing in several different areas of law, Christie quickly developed a passion for estate planning and probate law. Her passion for probate and estate law grew as she handled various cases involving contested estates, defective and/or lost wills, partitions, quiet title actions, estate auctions and foreclosures, and complex transactional work. Christie’s commitment to practicing probate and estate law over the past several years has required her to work with other various professionals, including realtors, CPAs and financial advisors, auctioneers, and medical experts in an effort to get the best possible outcome for her clients, which taught her the importance of teamwork and cooperation as a legal professional. Her role eventually expanded to overseeing other associates, where she demonstrated her leadership and management skills by regularly making herself available to answer questions and provide guidance as needed while continuing to maintain her own caseload.
Christie is driven by a commitment to continuous learning and a desire to excel in her practice. Her dedication to helping clients through the probate process and her enthusiasm for crafting effective solutions reflect her deep-rooted values and expertise.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Christie finds solitude and balance through her love of running, which has motivated her to complete the Kentucky Derby Half Marathon twice. She also enjoys spending time with her family and cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats. Her personal and professional journey has prepared her to make significant contributions at KKHB, where she is excited to continue making a difference.
